i enjoyed my time spent in this class even tho i thought that some of the class work was kind of silly. i will defenitly remember every1 and how they all read the plays and how some really got into it. i will most certently rember the class mate that came in with a prego suit on and every1 had to ask her how long she had been pregent and how mrs.deraps couldnt stop touching it, that was defenatly somthing to rember. im looking forward to next years class and all the new juniors that wil be in the class. im going to miss the siniors that left us but i know we will keep in touch. oh! i will also rember when i was with my partener for a project and she tought how it would be a good idea to rap for every one on dictatorship, i was so scared but i have to day it was funny, even if i did just end up reading it to the class.

this yeah we read the book "The Crucible". I really enjoyed this book for one reason and one reason only, all the girls in this were so dramatic it made me laught. when they all were trying to accuse a girl of witch craft and they feel to the floor sceaming. i just love how they were like that back in the olden days and girls are still like that today. People need to learn how to chill and relax about stupid things like that. they didnt need to get all worked up about it, but when they did it was just too funny.

This year we discussed a topic about gay rights and if gays should have the same marriage rights as a man and woman being married. I said that they should and that no one should be discriminated against for their sexual prefrence.
Sence we discussed this there has been a few major improvments on the topic, maine has now made gay marriage legal, i was varry happy to see that maine is now a supporter of same sex marriage.

why must hurb be a crime if all it dose is relieve the mind???

Next year I was hoping to do an opinion peice on marijuana. I know I probly sound like a pot head saying this but I dont think it should be illegal and I would really like a chance to explain my thoughts on this topic.
Did you know that the goverment has been conciterating legalizing and taxing marijuana, and I total agree on that, you'd be vary suprised at how many people smoke it. I would really love to go more in depth with othere students on this topic, and I know that some will be immutar and just want it legalized just so they can smoke it and not worry about being cought but I think they should also hear what grown up have to say about it and if we discussed it with an adult, even tho I know the students will be like "pish posh" about it, the adults oppinion will still sit in there brain somwhere and sooner or later the students will think about what that adult had to say.

my improvments over the year

Over this last year we have whiten a total of 9 opinion pieces. I have looked over all my past O/P's and all the comments my teacher has left me and I can see that I have improved on my translation from one paragraph to the other. I have also improved on my spelling and my point of view towards the topic. In the earlier O/P I often went off topic and babbled on about something that had no relation to the O/P topic, but as the year went on I focused more and more on what the topic was about and soon my O/P's were rate on topic.

As I was looking over my O/P's I realized that I really need to work on my spelling and not rushing through my O/P and making tons of mistakes with not only spelling but also with my punctuation, so i would really like to improve on that.

favorite opinion piece

My best opinion piece was #6 religious rights. In this O/P (opinion piece) I talked about how I thought it was wrong to make a person hide his or her religious belief when they come to school. In a story we read a Native American boy was suspended from school all because he and his family refused to cut his hair, it was a tribal custom for boys and men to only cut there hair when an important life-changing event occurs, did I mention that this boy was only in kindergarten.

I personally do not have a religion but I still think its wrong to make people hide who they are and what they believe. When I was assigned this O/P I knew that I was going to do just fine on it due to the fact that its our right to be who we want to be and believe in what we want to believe in. I'm sick of people telling me about there religious beliefs and trying to make me change all because I don't believe in god, and for a teacher to tell this child that he needed to cut his hair just because it didn't go along with there belief on how a young boy should look really go me mad. I'm glad I got to share my opinion with you and I'm happy you all took the time to listen to me thank you all.
